Admissions to the School

At Cavendish Church of England Primary School the number of children admitted per year group is 15.
We follow the County Council criteria for the selection of pupils including oversubscription criteria.
Applications for admission to the school are handled by the Local Authority, Suffolk County Council. How to apply for a school place
In the event of over subscription there is an Appeal Panel.
 


Applications for the school year 2024/2025
 
You must apply for a school place if your child was born between 1 September 2019 and 31 August 2020. You must make an application for a full-time school place even if your child is already attending a nursery class in an infant or primary school, a pre-school or a children’s centre next to a school site. This is because a place in a nursery class, pre-school or children’s centre does not guarantee your child a full-time place at that school.

Applications for a full time school place in primary school, for September 2024, must be received by the admissions team by the closing date, 15th January 2024. Applications should be made online at www.suffolk.gov.uk/admissions where you will find further information.
