World Book Day - Updates
We have been AMAZED by the creativity of hats & masks for this years Book Day celebrations.
A big thank you to parents and families that have helped their children to make these creative masterpieces!
Choosing winners and class runner-ups was extremely difficult for our House Captains, but pick they did, congratulations to all our winners and runners up and to everyone who joined in the fun. Well done!
And the Winners are.....

Mars Class   1st Prize - Freddie
Runners Up - Eliza & Tabitha

The day was filled with many activities, including a 'Reading Café', where they shared reading a book with a friend or their peers, the playground turned into a 'Where's Wally?' search with The Creative Chair at lunchtime along with building a character from Lego and a 'Reading Around the World' Quiet Area. The whole school joined together to create a new school poem, with each class focusing on a section from our Vision Statement and finally the day ended with stories read by adults in our very popular 'Story Stations'. Phew! I'm worn out just writing it.
Roll on next year.

Save the Date... World Book Day 2023!
An FYI, it's that time of the year again, World Book Day, March 2nd 2023!
We are mindful of the financial restraints that many of us are facing at the present, therefore this year we have decided to make a change to our celebrations. Instead of costumes we will be asking the children to make a hat or a mask representing their chosen Book character.
The children will bring their book, as in previous years, to support their mask or hat.
The day will be filled with activities reflecting reading, books and literacy.

If you need any resources to help with your mask or hat, please contact the school office.
We will be celebrating the day with various activities, including a reading café, Where's Wally Hunt and writing a new school poem.
